Based on the book by Akiyuki Nosaka, GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES is the heart-shattering depiction of two young siblings fighting for survival in war-torn Japan in 1945. A visual and aural beauty, the movie navigates the brutal reality of violence along with the transcendent beauty of childhood. Quite simply, this is one of the best war films ever made. An important, overwhelming experience.
Note: No English-dubbed versions will screen, contrary to previous announcements. All shows will feature the original Japanese audio soundtrack.
