Russ Gershon - the bandleader and arranger behind the long-running and critically acclaimed "little big band" Either/Orchestra and, more recently, the Afro-Cuban and Bugalu revival band Lookie Lookie, and founder of influential local jazz label Accurate Records - returns to the Mandorla Music Series for a rare trio appearance. Joining Russ (saxes and flute) will be Blake Newman (Revolutionary Snake Ensemble, Jeff Robinson Trio, Musaner) on bass, and Phil Neighbors (RSE, Funky White Honkies) on drums.
