A Night In Solidarity With Farmworker and Immigrant Rights. The evenings concert is a benefit to support farm worker advocacy work. The concert is Monday, November 20 at SEIU Ballroom. SEIU Ballroom, 6401 SE Foster. Portland, Or. 97206
Festivities start at 6:30pm with Bajo Salario a great progressive musical group.. The main feature, The Hinojosa Trio starts at 7:00pm. The concert is free and family-friendly.
The lead musician, Tish Hinojosa is nationally renowned for her blend of folk, country, Latino, and pop. With sixteen CDs to her name, Tishs distinct sound has gained her much critical acclaim and has a far- reaching appeal. She has teamed up with a wide variety of well-known artists, including Joan Baez, Booker T. Jones, Flaco Jimenez, Pete Seeger, and Dwight Yoakam. She has recorded as an independent artist as well as for A&M, Warner Bros, and Rounder Records and has been a featured artist on Austin City Limits, A Prairie Home Companion and other NPR programs. Hinojosa has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe and continues to draw a loyal and growing audience.
