Concerto/Concertino (part of Summer Sounds)
The acclaimed SMF Summer Sounds continues with a program of concertos ranging from the familiar to contemporary. Program includes Beethoven's first piano concerto and music by Arvo Part. World-class musicians perform. Pre-concert talk at 6:30pm.
PROGRAM:
Vivaldi Concerto in b, for four violins
Luzzaschi Three madrigals, for voices and continuo
De Falla Concerto for harpsichord, flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, and cello
PÄrt Tabula Rasa, for two solo violins, prepared piano, and strings
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 1
