Catalyst 2013

Los Angeles Movements Arts is proud to present CATALYST 2013 - the fourth in a series of events dedicated specifically to experimentation and the advancement of dance, movement, performing and multi-media arts. CATALYST challenges choreographers and collaborating artists to move beyond their comfort zones and produce work which challenges current perspectives in dance and performance art.

Each year CATALYST develops a "guide" - a thematic device designed to interrupt the 'stream' and in-spire choreographers to re-define their approach. This year's guide: CREATE A PIECE USING TWO LIGHT SOURCES OR LESS. Employing innovative interpretations of this year's guide each CATALYST 2013choreographer has developed a piece or presentation which challenges or subverts our expectations with regards to "seeing" and experiencing dance.

The performances will be presented Saturday February 16 at 4PM & 8PM and Sunday February 17 at 4PM & 8PM.

Diavolo Dance Theater will host all four presentations of CATALYST 2013.
