Jane and Dan's 2018 fundraiser for Armando Aid
Again this year we're holding a party at the Windmill in Brixton to raise money for Armando Aid. Armando Aid are a charity set up to deliver education in refugee camps in Greece. We used the £4000 raised last year to buy books for a school in a Greek refugee camp and to sponsor a teacher there.
This year as last we'll have around 7 bands or artists, each playing 3 songs. So far we are able to announce:
Puma Rosa - https://www.facebook.com/pumarosamusic/ Childhood - https://www.facebook.com/childhoodband/ Goat Girl - https://www.facebook.com/goatgirlofficial/ Stephen Fretwell - https://www.facebook.com/stephenfretwell/ The now legendary Scottibrains Daisy Beau - Www.Facebook.com/daisybeaumusic Beans - https://m.facebook.com/THEMUSICOFTHEMOB/
Note that artists & DJs may change as we get the event organised. Some artists may drop out, but similarly, we may get some lovely surprises. We'll try to keep you up to date.
The Windmill is a small venue and there are only a small number of tickets, so please book quickly.
We're not advertising this event to the general public, but feel free to buy additional tickets for friends and family. Tickets are being offered at a range of prices. Please just use whatever price you think you can afford.
What's it all in aid of?
Funds will be donated to a charity called ArmandoAid. This is a non-religious, non-political charity set up to support displaced communities through educational programmes.

The camp we supported last year as been closed down and they are currently looking for a new home for their school.
Will my money be used well?
All involved are generously giving their time for free and we'll be covering any other costs ourselves, so 100% of donations (after booking fees) will be donated, rather than taken up in event costs.
How can I get involved? If you'd like to be involved on the night, by performing, DJing, doing sound, setting up or helping on the door, please email me on jane.powell@shift-learning.co.uk
What if I can't come, or want to donate more? Go to or just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/armandowindmill2018
Will there be a Scottibrains raffle? Yes there will. In a change from last year, instead of this money being used Armando Aid, it will go towards a fund which is supporting our friend Mickey's brother-in-law Neil to travel to Switzerland to obtain treatment for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which he can't obtain here.
Raffle tickets for £1 each so don't miss your opportunity to scream with the world's most screamworthy band! You can learn more about Neil's situation or donate money to this prior to the event here: https://www.gofundme.com/getneilwalking
