"Kay is missing - they're saying he's probably dead, but Gerda doesn't believe it. She loved Kay and decides to look for him ..." Kazimierz reads Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales to little Marcin, and the time spent with his older neighbor is one of the few happy moments in the boy's life. Little Marcin has problems with his eyesight, with communication at school, and, above all, with his relationship to his mother Ania. Raising the boy on her own, shes young and attractive, but shes lost and rarely finds time for him. When she is at work or out on a date or out socializing, friends and neighbors look after the boy. Despite their help, Ania is starting to see motherhood as a burden, while Marcin is feeling more and more alone. Will they find a way to reconnect?

Marcin ma problemy ze wzrokiem, z komunikacja w szkole, a przede wszystkim z relacjami z matka. Wychowujaca go samotnie Ania jest mloda i ladna, ale zagubiona. Rzadko znajduje czas dla syna. Kiedy pracuje, randkuje lub imprezuje, malcem opiekuje sie zakochany w niej Kamil, Kazimierz albo dobroduszna sasiadka Zofia. Mimo tej pomocy Ania coraz mocniej odczuwa macierzynstwo jako ciezar, a Marcin czuje sie coraz bardziej samotny. Czy odnajda droge do siebie?
