Dance Identity Spotlight 2017
Dance Identity presents its annual showcase - Spotlight 2017. Come watch a mesmerizing and stunning sequence of performances as each of our class teams sets the stage on fire. Choose from two shows on Nov 4 and Nov 5 at Woodside Performing Arts Center, Woodside High School.
Dance Identity was founded in March of 2009 by Shaira Bhan to teach dance in a professional environment with a structured curriculum. Shaira has been instructing and choreographing for the past 17 years. She has choreographed and performed in various Bollywood films such as Dhoom, Namaste London, Teen Patti, U, Me, Aur Hum and more. Currently the DI curriculum consists of styles such as Bollywood, Bhangrafunk, Hip Hop, Salsa, and Contemporary Dance.
The primary focus of Dance Identity is to nurture individuals into realizing their potential and most importantly, their dreams. Teaching students that dance is not only about doing steps; but that it requires a deeper understanding of movement, music, mind and body. It is founded on the belief that everyone can dance as long as you have the belief, desire and the right guidance. If you can feel, think and move, then you can dance
