Towers & Trees w/ Stel & Lovecoast
The Return of Towers & Trees!
After a year-long hiatus, the boys are back. This show will sell-out so don't hesitate to buy your ticket. Joining them are Stel & Lovecoast.
*Towers & Trees*
From their scrappy, home-recorded debut to the heady anthems of sophomore album The West Coast, Towers and Trees find a way to fill every moment of every song with an honesty and earnestness that is increasingly rare in this digital age.
In a way, their sound reflects the rugged, natural beauty of their Vancouver Island home, and this distinct quality has opened doors to nationwide tours, radio play, festival showcases and a passionate fan community everywhere their music seems to land.
After ending 2016 on a hiatus to refocus their creative vision, Towers and Trees recently began work on their newest, most heart-filled record yet, teaming up with award-winning producer/engineer Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Said The Whale).
Stel is a brother and sister duo based out of Victoria BC. With a sound similar to Ben Howard, Of Monsters and Men, and City and Colour, they capture both the attention and emotions of their listeners. Writing music that is honest and packed with originality is essential to both halves of the duo. Since beginning their career in music as Stel in 2015, they have toured across BC, AB, and SK, as well as recording their first EP titled Think Aloud. They recently won the "Play Song and Surf" competition hosted at Sugar Nightclub.
Both members of the duo have been songwriters from a young age. The stylistic range in songwriting style produced by the duo, reflects the depth of musical understanding held by each as an individual. Through understanding the unique strengths and weaknesses they both possess, they have become a powerful and efficient songwriting team. They rarely go a day without writing something new, or reworking something they've written. Now only 18 and 19 years old, Sophia and Adam have become confident songwriters receiving praise from many accomplished songwriters in their community.
Since their inception in 2013 Lovecoast has been delivering a new sound that wont go unnoticed. By bringing "together modern day indie pop and blue-eyed 70s R&B (Ride the Tempo), the band has created something bouncy and infectious. Lovecoast finds inspiration in modern acts like the Cat Empire and Lake Street Dive, and classic legends such as Billie Holiday and Bruce Springsteen. Uniquely fresh and nostalgic all at once, Lovecoast is an up-and-coming act from the West Coast of Canada to watch.
