Deathbed Playlist is the original duo collaboration between hospice music therapists Jillian Lowery, MA, MT-BC and Jessica Rose Western, MT-BC. Self-proclaimed 'work wives', Jillian and Jessica began Deathbed Playlist as an excuse to make music together in their personal lives. Bringing therapeutic musical experiences to the bedside of hospice patients and their families is their professional passion, and Deathbed Playlist is inspired by their work, but rooted in a celebration of all of life's liminal spaces and the soundtracks that emerge at the thresholds of human experience. Both singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, Jillian and Jessica have individually performed solo and in various projects across the country for the last 15 years and enjoy traversing a wide variety of genres, instruments, and eras in the music they create, all steeped in lush harmonies and contemplative arrangements.

Flyover States is the musical duo made up of Aaron Elliott and Steven Patton. Aaron and Steven have been playing and singing together for over ten years in various choirs, bands, and vocal ensembles. While Aaron and Stevens band Andrews Ave. lets them fulfill their rock needs, Flyover States was created to explore their folk interests, allowing for more complex vocal arrangements and harmonies. Aaron and Steven met in college in Des Moines, IA and immediately made a musical connection. Together theyve toured extensively and moved halfway across the country to Portland, OR where they have continued to make music, teach, and write together.
Playing Together
When playing together, Deathbed Playlist and Flyover States utilize their full range of musicianship and influences. In creating various combinations of duos, trios, as well as the full quartet the group is able to explore a wide variety of genres and instrumentations, as well as bolster each others original music with new and exciting arrangements.
