Even with a scientific upbringing, acclaimed photographer James Balog had been a skeptic about climate change until a trip to the Arctic opened his eyes to the biggest story in human history and sparked a challenge that put his career and his very well-being at risk. Using time-lapse photography, his hauntingly beautiful videos capture ancient mountains as they vanish before us. Chasing Ice depicts a photographer at the end of his tether, delivering evidence, and hope.
