Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble: "Aye, Sing we now of Joy!"
St. James Cathedral Resident Ensemble Opus 7 rings in the joyous seasons of Advent and Christmas with a stunning program of European and American favorites. This concert will feature Francis Poulencs dramatic Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noël, Hugo Distlers variations on Lo How a Rose ere blooming, and the exultant O Heiland,reiß die Himmel auf by Johannes Brahms. Pacific Northwest composers are represented by Giselle Wyers, Stephen Brozovich, John Muehleisen, and Bern Herbolsheimer. Also featured are a variety of modern European composers including Arvo Pärt, Pierre Villette, and Javier Busto. Please join us for this exciting holiday event conducted by Opus 7 Artistic Director Loren Pontén.
