Melodia's 15th Anniversary Fall Concert 2017 (SUNDAY)

Melodia is pleased to announce the inaugural concerts of its fifteenth anniversary season!

Featuring rarely heard works from the Romantic era for women's choir, harp and cello the group will perform a lovely set of motets by siblings Felix Mendelssohn and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel. In addition, the concert will feature "Missa Advocata Nostra," a harp mass by German composer, Johann Kaspar Aiblinger, which will exhibit the angelic strumming of harpist Rita Costanzi. Also on the program is Josef Rheinberger's ethereal "Wie lieblich sind deine Wohnungen."

Please join Melodia Women's Choir of NYC, Mika Nishimura (piano), Rita Costanzi (harp), Meaghan Burke (cello), and Mary Ann McSweeney (bass) on November 18, 2017, at Holy Apostles Church and November 19, 2017 at West End Collegiate Church. Reception with light snacks and drinks to follow both concerts.
