David Pritchard Acoustic Guitar Ensemble at La Casita Del Arroyo in Pasadena, CA
You don't want to miss this amazing musical performance at historic La Casita Del Arroyo, under the waxing fall moon, along the banks of the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena. Doors open at 7:00pm and concert begins at 7:30pm. Light refreshments.

Guitarist/composer David Pritchards unique music for multiple acoustic guitars was first introduced in his CD Air Patterns.  He has created his own acoustic guitar trio for the purpose of performing and recording his music which straddles the lines between contemporary classical minimalism, folk, jazz, and new acoustic.  Pritchards music has also been performed and recorded by the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

He  has performed either as a soloist or with his trio at USC, Cal Arts, Art Center College of Design,  The Healdsburg Guitar Festival, Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration, and All Saints Church Pasadena. He has also appeared frequently on the Living Room Concert Series produced by Public Radios Echoes.

David Pritchard with his trio:  Ioannis Markoulakis and Kevin Tiernan

REVIEWS:
"There is a spaciousness and forward momentum to Pritchards designs that ... sound cinematic.
(Billboard Magazine)

...a  treat for all fans of acoustic guitar music. (Crosswinds Weekly, Albuquerque, New Mexico)

Listeners with an appreciation for guitar artistry will find much to admire...Pritchards dissonance-free tapestries unfold with the kind of grace and assurance that results from many years spent refining ones craft.
(Textura, December 2014)

About the Concert Location:
La Casita del Arroyo (The Little House on the Arroyo) was built as a community meeting house in 1933, a joint venture by the Pasadena Garden Club and the City of Pasadena. Natural materials from the Arroyo were combined with recycled materials from the velodrome built for the 1932 Olympics as a work project during the Great Depression. In 1988, the Pasadena Garden Club in conjunction with noted landscape architects Isabel Greene and Yosh Befu designed and installed a water demonstration garden intended as an educational resource for the greater Pasadena community that promoted plants suitable for a Mediterranean climate as well as water-saving irrigation systems. In 2010, the Pasadena Garden Club re-designed the Butterfly Garden which leads from the Arroyo up to the main garden and the Casita. As a joint venture with the City, the building may be rented to non-profit groups, weddings and receptions by applying to the City of Pasadena. The gardens, maintained by the Pasadena Garden Club, are open year round as a self-guided tour during daylight hours only. Visitors may park on the street adjacent to La Casita or come up through the trails in the Arroyo. http://lacasitadelarroyo.org/
