Joyful Tidings: 12/2 and 12/3 concerts
The Kirkland Choral Society, under the direction of Dr. Glenn Gregg, presents "Joyful Tidings", its annual concert of music for the holidays in the beautiful - and acoustically superb - chapel at Bastyr University. The magic of this music and setting have turned this concert series into an annual holiday tradition for many!
KCS is joined by outstanding soloists: John Marzano, Tenor, and Jonathan Silvia, Bass, along with our orchestra partner, Philharmonia Northwest, to present the first half of this year's program, cantatas 2 and 3 of J.S. Bach's rarely performed masterwork, his Christmas Oratorio.
The program concludes with selections celebrating the "joyful tidings" theme of the two Bach cantatas. These will ensure audience members again leave a KCS holiday concert enchanted and infused with wonderful holiday spirit!
