SPRING CELEBRATION
Today, it is hard to imagine how life in ages past was governed by weather and the passing seasons. Any Seattleite who has ever braved the lingering chill at an outdoor cafe in a warm coat in order to drink in the first tentative rays of spring sunshine can understand the exuberance with which medieval Europeans looked forward to spring: the balmy afternoons, the symphony of birdsong, the budding of trees and the explosion of flowers, and especially the stirrings of young love. All these things were extoled in song, and we invite you to join the Medieval Womens Choir in casting off the gloom of winter through a celebration of spring.
