Women of Jazz
Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater presents "Women of Jazz", an evening of vocals and instrumentals honoring some of the most cherished women jazz vocalists of the past 50 years. The concert will feature songstress Diana Page backed by a quartet of fine local jazz musicians. Diana cites as major influences in the development of her vocal style, Anita O'Day, Blossom Dearie and Ella Fitzgerald. Tunes by these jazz greats will form part of the repertoire of the evening along with songs by other female jazz singers that will be familiar to the audience. Husband Matt Page will be on drums, Greg Feingold on bass, Ted Lombard on piano and John Hryciuk will round out her quartet on sax and clarinet.
