IN SEARCH OF ISRAELI CUISINE, FILM & TASTING MENU SUNDAY, 11-5 4:00 PM CO-SPONSORED BY THE JEWISH COMMUNITY ALLIANCE OF SOUTHERN MAINE. This event is sold out.

TICKETS INCLUDE FILM AND RECEPTION WITH ISRAELI CUISINE. CASH BAR WILL BE AVAILABLE. TICKETS ARE $25.

Documentary/2016 Israel/94 minutes/Director Roger Sherman

A portrait of the Israeli people told through food. Through scenes that are mostly cinema verité the James Beard award winning chef Michael Solomonov,  visits farms, markets, restaurants, kitchens, landscapes, and history. Profiling chefs, home cooks, farmers, vintners, and cheese makers drawn from the more than 100 cultures that make up Israel today  Jewish, Arab, Muslim, Christian, Druze- a rich, complex and human story emerges.

Parking is available in back of the JCA building. Visitors are advised not to part in the Westgate Shopping Center. There is also parking available on neighborhood streets.
