BIOS: (More still to come!)

ANDREW ALLEN:  Allens DIY ability and optimistic attitude have served him well. He's scored five Top 10 hits in Canada, 2009s I Wanna Be Your Christmas, 2010s Loving You Tonight which was lodged in the upper reaches of the charts for more than 22 weeks. 2011's "I Want You, 2015s What You Wanted and 2016s Favourite Christmas Song!

His benchmark single Loving You Tonight was a lilting, sunny tune about an ideal romance, Loving You Tonight  helped put Andrew on tour with acts like Bruno Mars, One Republic, Andy Grammer, The Script, Train, Joshua Radin and The Barenaked Ladies... with the official music video garnering more than 4 million views!

As a songwriter, Andrews written with some incredible writers and artists, including Meghan Trainor, Rachel Platten, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tyler Shaw, and Toby Gad (writer of All of Me - John Legend, If I Were a Boy - Beyonce, Bigs Girls Dont Cry - Fergie etc) to name a few and is credited with writing songs for Nick Howard (winner of the Voice Germany) and EDM singles for Project 46, Ilan Bluestone the song Last Chance that can be found on Kaskades Grammy Nominated album as well as the Triple Platinum Italian smash Ad Occhi Chiusi which was co-written by Matt Simons for Italian Superstar Marco Mengoni and Latin Americas boy band CD9s Gold selling song Dime.

In addition, you may have heard his songs featured in various TV Shows and Movies, including the blockbuster Taylor Lautner film Abduction, reality show The Bachelor, UP Networks Bringing up Bates and the most recent Folgers Coffee commercial!

Radio play and songwriting aside, Andrew is a true live performer with an exceptional voice, incredible songs and limitless energy... not too mention a spatter of comic wit and story-telling ability that helps create a dynamic and interactive live show. He's definitely an artist that embodies the term 'live'.

HILARY GRIST: Born in Quesnel, BC and bred in Maple Ridge, Grist was composing music at the piano in pre-school. Later years of piano lessons and singing with the high school choir propelled her to Vancouver, where she studied jazz at the world-renowned Capilano University while deepening her pool of musical influences and honing her songwriting skills.
Grists songs can evoke emotion with ease, and their cinematic conductivity translates as well to the big and small screens as it does to her listeners real-life narratives. Her music has enhanced dramatic and romantic sequences in a vast number of television programs, including Grimm (NBC), Being Human (NBC), Arctic Air (CBC), Hello Goodbye (CBC), Heartland (CBC), Workin Moms (CBC), Continuum (Showcase), Degrassi (MuchMusic), and many more. Shes also a perennial favourite of taste-making campus stations across the continent, is featured regularly on the CBC, and has been heralded by critics like Alan Cross and CBCs Lana Gay and Andrea Warner, and countless press outlets, including The Province and Vancouver Sun.
Whats more, the accolades extend beyond music and into other media. Her quirky creative flare with visual art and video has garnered admiration from fans and followers across the globe. From hand-drawn and chalkboard-animated music videos to cardboard cityscapes, colourful e-cards, and beyond, Grists output isnt limited to cleverly crafted pop songs. In 2014, Grist had a nomination for Video of the Year at the WCMAs (Western Canadian Music Awards) and was longlisted for the Prism Prize.
The songs translate equally well to the stage, as Grists live performances have earned a level of acclaim akin to her studio albums. She has already performed high-profile events at home and abroad, including NXNE and CMW in Toronto, the Blue Note in Japan, the Busan International Rock Festival and Ulsan World Music Festival in Korea, the Edge of the World Festival in Haida Gwaii, and the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival in BC.
Her success around the globe and in major media proves that music is indeed the universal language, and Hilary Grist is superbly fluent. Her creativity reaches beyond music and into visual arts, music videos, poetry, and prose, and the energy she emits is incredibly contagious.

MICHAEL JANTZEN:

Fraser Valley recording artist, Michael Jantzen, carves out his own space between folk and country. He has a knack for weaving introspection into poetic narrative and stick-in-your head melodies. Combined with his nuanced baritone and delicate guitar playing, he creates a distinct and inviting brand of roots music. His songs have a way of making themselves at home with our hopes and hurts  of reminding us that its the twists and turns that teach us the most. As a line from his debut EPs opening track puts it, The road unknown is inlaid with finest gold.

Better known artists like Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, Blue Rodeo, and Patty Griffin, have certainly made their mark on his style, but his greatest influence has been the Northwests indi-folk scene, which all started with his dad taking him to the local folk festival every summer in Mission, BC. As a kid, he dreamed of performing on that stage one day, and last summer that dream came true.

SHARI ULRICH - Originally a California girl, Shari's 40-year career from Pied Pumkin through The Hometown Band and on as a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist has led to 23 albums  including collaborations with Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes (UHF), Barney Bentall & Tom Taylor (BTU), and the bluegrass band The High Bar Gang. Her work has garnered two Juno Awards, an induction into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame, and a 2014 Canadian Folk Music Award for English Songwriter of the Year. She is currently preparing to record a new solo album and will be debuting tunes from it at this SongBird North She has been producing the Bluebird North (soon to be  Songbird North) songwriter showcase for the SAC for over 20 years, both locally and nationally. www.shariulrich.com
