Experience the rare treat of two exceptional award-winning cellists, Meta Weiss and David Requiro, joining forces as a duo.

The Weiss-Requiro Duo prides itself in championing works by new composers and breathing new life into old favorites. As individuals, cellists David Requiro and Meta Weiss have won top prizes in international competitions, and are known for their virtuosity and lyricism on the instrument. It is rare treat for audiences that two cellists of this caliber have joined forces as a duo, and the result is a captivating and inspiring musical experience.

* Glière Duets for Two Cellos, Op. 53

* Bach Chaconne for Two Celli,BWV 1004 (transcribed from the Violin Partita in D minor by Jaffe/Perron)

* Paganini Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini (transcribed by Thomas-Mifune/Weiss/Requiro)

Join us for a free "Meet-the-Artists" reception following the concert.

Crowden presents chamber music to the public with Sundays @ Four, our series of low-cost, informal concerts featuring distinguished chamber musicians. Artists speak about each work and share their personal observations and inspirations in these intimate concerts, then mingle with the audience in receptions after the performance.

Tickets at the door: $25 general admission, $20 seniors/students 18+, and free for children under 18.
