"It's For The Birds" Annual Fundraiser
Our SIXTH Annual catered BBQ (with wine and beer garden), and live auction! Win one or more baskets filled with a variety of unique items - including spa products, pet products, gourmet food products, wine and MANY MORE! SPONSOR a bird and receive a Certificate of Sponsorship! Enter the 50/50 CASH drawing!
This venue is on the property of Macaw Rescue & Sanctuary in Carnation. You will be surrounded by the happy chatter of these amazing, intelligent and colorful birds while you enjoy dinner, wine, and dessert.
From the Macaw Rescue & Sanctuary website: "Many people, who are referred to the Macaw Rescue and Sanctuary, come to understand our philosophy and find that this environment is similar to one where their bird would be if it lived in its natural environment.
"They see that, as much as they will miss their birds, their friends can now be with other birds. Their birds get to become part of bird communities the way it should be."
"But caring for these beautiful, intelligent creatures is incredibly labor intensive and we need support in many ways."
"We hope, after you learn about what we are doing, that you'll find ways you can offer support to enable the many birds, who now call this home, to live their lives in peace and dignity."
Pricing for our 2018 event will be as follows:
* $40 Adult Tickets available until August 8
* $10 Children under the age of 10 available until August 8
* $10 Add-on for Custom Guitar
All ticket prices include admission for the day of the event. Proceeds to benefit the 501(c)(3) Washington State certified non-profit organization, Macaw Rescue & Sanctuary.
Along with participating in the LIVE AUCTION, enter for a chance to win a unique, hand crafted guitar (with case) built by Blueberry Custom Guitars. Guitar is one-of-a-kind! The body is made from solid spruce and mahogany and decorated with mother of pearl inlay in the neck, with intricate carvings on the front, sides and back. Mother of pearl inlay also adorns the inset for the sound hole.
Easy to tune, hold, and play - the sound is deep and warm!
Please note: There is a "reserve" price for the custom guitar. Employees and family members of Macaw Rescue and Sanctuary are not eligible to enter for the custom guitar.
