Swinging Harmonies of the Big Band Era with The Vintage Vocal Quartet
The 1930s and 1940s hit the sweet spot when swing music, jazz music, and pop music were all one and the same. It was a time when every radio blared out music that was danceable yet sophisticated.
The Vintage Vocal Quartet is dialed in to the sound of groups like Glenn Millers Modernaires, the Nat King Cole Trio, the Andrews Sisters, and Tommy Dorseys Pied Pipers, as well as singers like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Jo Stafford.
These four vocalists double on piano, bass, guitar and trumpet, so youll hear the full, rich style of the big band era in a tight little package.
The VVQ has been delighting concert audiences, lindy hoppers, and swanky private events all over New England. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to swing!
Free dance lesson at 7:00 PM. Come learn a few 'Big Apple' steps to take to the dance floor. No partner necessary!
