Why havent I heard of her before? If you havent heard of Nikki Hill yet, you soon will, and once you see her perform, you wont forget her.
Hill and her band have been touring extensively following the independent 2015 release Heavy Hearts Hard Fists and debut album Heres Nikki Hill, released in 2013. With a no-filter energy, and explosive live show, they deliver a sound that will make you believe in rock n roll again! Nikkis unique voicewith raw rock and soul dynamics mixed with the strength, passion, and honesty of blues shouters of the paststeers the driving guitar and a tight rhythm section to create a breath of fresh air with their fast forward approach to American roots music.
Nikki Hills self-titled, independently released EP in June of 2012 created a heavy and sudden international underground buzz that the band has traveled with across America and overseas to Europe and Australia. Those four tunes penned by Hill, combined with memorable live performances, have drawn a wide range of people from every avenueand musical taste to their shows. Her enthusiasm for music is simply contagious. One club advertisement will call Nikki The Southern Fireball, the New Soul Sensation, amazing R&B Shouter, and even the new Queen of Rock n Roll.
If you havent heard of her yet, prepare for your whiplash moment. You have been warned.

+ SANDY CONNELY
A daughter of the Deep South and a blues sister, singer/guitarist Sandy Connolly has a motherly instinct for knowing exactly what her audience wants - and delivering it with tough love.
A fixture on the Connecticut music scene for a decade, Connolly indeed "left her home in Georgia." However and rather than heading for the " 'Frisco Bay", she eschewed her classically trained operatic background - winding up on Martha's Vineyard in the late '80s, where an intimate Bonnie Raitt concert inspired her to pursue an altogether different musical direction.
Covering deep tracks from Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt, and Little Willies, among many others, Connolly's additional influences include Eva Cassidy, Rickie Lee Jones, and Joni Mitchell.
You can hear her album Your Prescription for the Blues on Spotify and iTunes.
Connolly will be appearing with bassist, Ted Ervin at Cafe Nine, Sunday, August 20th - along with Nikki Hill and her band.
"Sass and class... Her voice is deep and true." - Christine Ohlman
"Darn if I'm not hearing vocal vibes from unexpected and epic realms..." Brian Gille, ctmusicscene.com
"When you listen to Sandy, she has a voice that is not only silky and seductive, but when she lets it go, she's got this fire that cuts through steel. It's amazing to watch Sandy perform because every ounce of her body is behind what she's doing." - Garry Parrington, Blues, Cruise, & Brews Festival
