Celtic and Beyond
Enjoy an afternoon of traditional music from the British Isles featuring the women of Canzona in solos, duets and other choral ensembles. We'll be accompanied by Jennifer Sayre playing Celtic harp and Cassandra Tarantino piping on Irish flute. There will be something for everyone from Purcell duets to a song about Colcannon, a traditional Irish dish made from cabbage, kale, onions and potatoes mashed with butter and milk! The program will feature several arrangements by Irish composer Michael McGlynn, founder of the Irish choral group Anúna whose albums have topped the charts in the U.S. and U.K.
