Chamber songs and duets from the early Baroque are among the most exciting and varied vocal repertoire, and are therefore highly featured among TENETs offerings.
Join TENET for an evening of early 17th century Italian music by Claudio Monteverdi and his contemporaries in celebration of the composer's 450 birth anniversary. Songs and duets for dynamic duo Jolle Greenleaf and Molly Quinn will be performed alongside fiery violin and harpsichord works by contemporaries of Monteverdi.
TENET's UNO + ONE program is based on their 2014 hit CD featuring vocal solos and duets, sensational violin duos, and theorbo solos. The disc was released on the AVIE label and the recording has been featured in radio shows all over the world. In the fall of 2014, it was named Album of the Week on WQXR, NYCs classical music station.
This performance will run approximately 70 minutes.
