A World of Guitar: Virtuoso Guitar Music from Six Continents

A World of Guitar: Virtuoso Guitar Music from Six Continents introduces guitar music from around the world performed by two of America's top solo guitarists - Stone Records recording artist Aaron Larget-Caplan and EWM Records artist Peter Janson.  The highest level of artistry, technical mastery, and emotive qualities of the acoustic guitar are presented to the audience with sonic landscape and evocative mood stemming from the vastly rich variety of human culture as expressed in its guitar music:  songs that cross genres and styles from americana and celtic, to classical and flamenco, to world-jazz-fusion for an unforgettable musical adventure.  A World of Guitar features music for solo guitar, and duets, that reveal a mutual devotion to the heart, soul, and inspiration of great guitar music from around the world.

Testimonial:

"A World of Guitars is a remarkable musical journey of virtuosic guitar music from around the world. I curate and produce a renowned guitar series that features musicians from all over the world with a very sophisticated audience. Peter Janson and Aaron Larget-Caplans performance had the audience on their feet time and time again. Superb playing and material by truly talented artists. ~ Steve Davison, Producer, Argenta Arts Acoustic Music Series, www.argentaartsacousticmusic.com

Guitarist Biographies:

Noted for his astounding technical proficiency and artistic delicacy (Boston Musical Intelligencer), classical-world guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan is an international touring and recording artist. He has performed solo and chamber music in Russia, Europe and across the United States including El Palacio de Linares (Madrid, Spain), Yelagin and Sheremetev Palaces and the St. Petersburg Conservatory (Russia), Mantova Chamber Music Festival, Corte Eremo and Castillo de Galeazza (Italy), Crocker Art Museum (Sacramento, CA) and Jordan Hall, (Boston, MA). At the age of 16 he made his debut at the Tabor Opera House and has since premiered over 65 solo and chamber compositions, performed with orchestras, created commissioning endeavors, directed concert series and brought classical music into schools and community settings. A gifted performer and speaker, he is sought for his deft programming of new and standard repertoire while connecting with audiences with a Bernstein-esque ease.

Peter Janson is an award-winning contemporary fingerstyle acoustic guitarist, composer, and music educator.  He has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Healdsburg Guitar Festival, the Argenta Acoustic Music Series in Little Rock, the WUMB Music Festival in Boston, and venues throughout North America.  He has had three albums in the Top Five of the NAR radio charts and his recordings have over one-million BMI verified broadcasts across all media.  His contemporary solo guitar music fuses jazz, classical, and world-folk styles, and blends passion, artistry, and technical mastery as he weaves songs about life and the heart.  And it has earned him critical acclaim: Acoustic Guitarists Astonish! (The Orion News, Chico CA), absolutely one of the best, heartfelt, acoustic players today (Grammy winning producer, Chuck Ebert), a gifted acoustic fingerstyle player (Dirty Linen Magazine), and a rare 10+ (Spirit of Change Magazine).
