"The Journey" CD Release Concert
Brookings, Oregon music duo Blanchard Devine (Kim Blanchard Devine and Perry Devine) are pleased to announce the release of their first collaboration cd titled "The Journey". The CD is a combination of works written either by Blanchard or Devine, with some delectable co-writes with producer, song-writer and friend Keith Greeninger, one co-write with Kim's former music partner Michael Quale, and the one cover song on the album, Rodney Crowell's "I Know Love Is All I Need". Recorded at Keith's Wind River Studio nestled in the hills of Santa Cruz,CA, the feel of the production is larger-than-life for some songs and very pared down and elegant for others. Backing Blanchard Devine instrumentally is a group of accomplished and sought-after Bay area musicians the likes of John R. Burr on piano, Jimmy Norris on drums and percussion, Steve Ucello-standup and electric Bass, Dayan Kai on dobro, sax, clarinet, and guitar, Keith Greeninger on guitar. Add to that City Folk's Kimball Hurd on mandolin, Roger Feuer on guitar, as well as Barry Phillips on cello and Nick Bianchini on trumpet. Keith Greeninger and Sharon Allen (Henhouse, The Dusty Boots) added masterful harmonies to the mix. Brookings own award-winning singer songwriter Toni Land will open the show and join the group on backup vocals and harmonies.
