Razor's Edge: The Legacy of Iranian Actresses
Diaspora Arts Connection proudly presents a special screening of Bahman Maghsoudlou's Razor's Edge: The Legacy of Iranian Actresses. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the Director.
General synopsis: An overview of the work of actresses in Iranian films before the 1979 revolution, laid out through copious interviews and film clips, with a focus on the hurdles that existed in that society before the massive change, how they presaged what was to come, and how the power of expression continues to be a formidable force despite the efforts of small, fearful, reactionary minds.

All after-costs proceeds from this screening will go to the director, who gave thirteen years of his life to make this film with his own personal resources. Ticket prices: $20 General Admission, $50 Support the Director + Reserved Seating.
