Root Beer Lady-the Musical
  WORLD PREMIERE!!
   Based on the book 'Root Beer Lady' by Bob Cary about Ely, Minnesota local legend Dorothy Molter. Dorothy was the last non-indigenous resident in what is now called the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. She lived on Knife Lake for 50 years on the Isle of the Pines and chopped her own wood and hauled her own water. She was a registered nurse who helped many campers and was known for her home made root beer.
   This original Musical has a cast and company of all local folks who tell Dorothy's inspiring story through humor, song and dance. The musical was written by Bob Cary's daughter, Barb, who resides in Ely.
   This is fun entertainment for the entire family and part of the proceeds go to support the Dorothy Molter Museum in Ely, where Dorothy's cabins from the Isle of the Pines have been reconstructed for public tours.
   Mark your calendars, buy your tickets and plan to attend THE WORLD PREMIERE in Ely, Minnesota this August 3-4-5-6.
