Fifth Annual "Two Beers Veirs" New Year's Celebration
Bring in the New Year at Laura Veirs' Fifth Annual "Two Beers Veirs" New Year's Celebration at the Laurelthirst Pub. The band includes Nate Query, John Moen (both Decemberists), Jon Neufeld (Jackstraw) and Annalisa Tornfelt (Black Prairie). Expect barn-burning hoe-downs, hot Led Zeppelin jams, and Jimi Hendrix licks. Five local luminaries will join the band during their set: Shelley Short, Garth Klippert (Old Light), Mike Coykendall and one special secret guest. Annalisa Tornfelt's band Calico Rose and Mike Coykendall will play opening sets.
(please note, Calico Rose recently replaced Virginia Brooks as an opener and Shelley Short replaced Luz Elena as a guest. Luz will be on tour opening for the Lumineers with her band Y La Bamba)
