Remembering... - Columbia Adult Choirs
The adult choirs of Columbia Choirs of Metropolitan Seattle - Con Brio Women's Choir and Concord Chamber Choir will join in concert to feature pieces of music that evoke poignant memories. A mad bike ride through fields of corn, a Greek goddess spurned by her lover begging that we recollect her fate, the awe of childhood, and "singin all day on the ground in Peaster, Texas" - all are calls to remember. Music includes selections from Stephen Paulus, Jake Runestad, Claude Debussy, Henry Purcell, Moses Hogan, and more. To finish the concert, the two choirs will together in "Hope for Resolution", a piece in memory of the end of apartheid in South Africa, and a celebration of unity in diversity. We hope you will join us!
