Sac City Rollers present Junior Roller Derby Clinic
The Sac City Rollers are proud to present our first JUNIOR roller derby clinic which will be hosted by skater coaches from SCRs WFTDA-ranked team, the Capitol Punishers!
The clinic will be held Saturday, May 6, at the SCR Cell Block (1636 Kathleen Avenue, Sacramento, CA).
Clinic registration begins at 11:15 a.m. and training will begin at 12 p.m. (noon). Junior skaters will be split into beginner and intermediate/advanced skill levels to be trained in skill-appropriate groups. Skaters will hone their flat-track roller derby skills and learn and participate in drills designed to increase jamming and blocking agility, performance, and skills. And, the clinic will end with a mixed level black and white scrimmage!
Skaters must be ages 8 - 17 and have current insurance. Clinic is open to all genders.
Skaters need to bring:
-Lunch / Snacks for mid-clinic break
-Signed JRDA Liability Waiver
-Black and White jerseys with skater numbers
Each skater is allowed 1 adult to escort them to the clinic. Additional parents/escorts will be required to pay $5 entry at the door.
