Bill Kirchen co-founded the original Americana band, Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen, and his trademark Telecaster licks drove their hit Hot Rod Lincoln into the Top 10 in 1972.
Bill Kirchen rules, its just that simple, says the Austin-American Statesman. His no-nonsense guitar attack, powered by great, booming, bottom-heavy licks still covered with axle grease, is undoubtedly the real thing, scattering scorching guitar runs in all directions.
