LAPC Performing Arts, in partnership with The Pierce College One Book One Campus Program, Proudly Presents a concert inspired by Malala Yousafzai:Inspirations of the Human Spirit from Around the World.
Featuring the World Premiere of a commissioned piece, inspired by Malala, by local composer Christin Hablewitz.
Performances by the Pierce College Choir, conducted by Dr. Garineh Avakian-Akkus, accompanied by Dr. Cassie Nickols, and the Pierce Symphonic Band, conducted by Dr. Wendy Mazon.
Performances are Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2, 2017, both at 7pm. A pre-show living statue event begins in the lobby each night at 6:15.
Tickets are available here on Brown Paper Tickets, or at the box office the night of the show. Box Office opens each night at 6:15. All tickets are priced at $10.
The concerts will be held in the Performing Arts Mainstage, on the LA Pierce College Campus, 6201 Winnetka Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA, 91371. Parking is free in Parking Lot #6, adjacent to the Performing Arts Center.
