Through stories and song, Lauren examines the creative genius and conflicted desires of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen two of folk musics most enduring artists and the short-lived affair that had such a profound effect on their work. Lauren delves into the meaning behind the songs, giving us a better understanding of a painter and a poet who mesmerized the world through song.
Lauren was born and raised in New York City, where she still resides. She has been featured in several films, including Pi, Noon Blue Apples, Revolution Summer, The Hammer, and We Need To Talk About Kevin, and on TV in FOXs New Amsterdam and Fringe. Lauren has several upcoming film and stage projects in development, including her screenplay, Atlas of the Soul. She has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Centers Rose Theater, Carnegie Hall, The Town Hall (NYC), The University Club (NYC), The Crazy Coqs (London), Subculture NYC, Joes Pub, 54 Below, The KateKatherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, Pollack Theater at Monmouth Center for the Arts and many more performing arts centers and colleges around the country. Lauren is a Bistro, MAC and Nightlife Award winner.
