Portland Tennis and Education: Student, Parent and Teacher Recital

Hosted by Bob Howard, volunteer Music Director at PT&E, and co-coaches Beth Wood and Jason Alburger. The program is a celebration of the music learned by program participants throughout the year. Performances by students, parents, and teachers will fill the program. It promises to be a wonderful celebration of the outreach efforts by members of the Artichoke Music Community and their friends and families.

Portland Tennis & Education is a best-in-class, tuition-free, after-school enrichment program supporting economically challenged families from diverse ethnic backgrounds throughout the Portland Metro area. Children and their families are given a big boost and an opportunity to experience enhanced educational opportunities. At PT&E the students are immersed in a community where sportsmanship, collaboration, civility, and peace are valued, taught, and practiced. Students are mentored in social and academic skills. The program serves students from pre-school to 12th grade. Music is a BIG part of the program. Bob Howard has served as a volunteer and Music Director since 2010. Beth Wood and Jason Alburger serve as co-coaches.
