Young Ireland Benefit Concert for Assistance League of SLO County
This concert features Young Ireland with Patrick O'Hara(guitar, bodhran drum, mandolin, vocals) and Michael O'Hara (vocals) and special musical guest Patrick Pearson on lead guitar.
First and second generation Irish Americans with County Mayo roots, this father-son duo writes and performs original songs as well as traditional Irish folk songs reflecting the spirit of the Irish struggles and traditions in both Ireland and America from the 1600's to modern day. Their acoustic music is driven by "skillfully crafted ballads and delicate harmonies in a richly Irish tradition."
Proceeds from this concert benefit the Assistance League of SLO County, an all volunteer, non-profit organization that provides new back to school clothes for children in need. Patrick's mother was a school teacher who lived in Cambria for about 10 years until her sudden death from cancer in 2002.
