Young Ireland Benefit for Hearst Cancer Resource Center
This special evening of Irish folk music - both originals and traditional songs - benefits The Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital. Special musical guests appearing with Young Ireland include Patrick Pearson on lead guitar and Bob Liepman on cello and mandocello. 100% of the ticket proceeds go to the charity.
First and second generation Irish Americans with County Mayo roots, this father-son duo Patrick O'Hara (guitar, bodhran drum, mandolin, vocals) and Michael O'Hara (vocals)writes and performs original songs reflecting the spirit of the Irish struggles and traditions in both Ireland and America from the 1600's to modern day. Their acoustic music is driven by "skillfully crafted ballads and delicate harmonies in a richly Irish tradition."
