In celebration of Womens History Month in March, OCA is pleased to present Blues Diva Sarah Baker in concert with guitarist extraordinaire Nina Gerber and renowned bassist Mona Gnader. This fabulous concert will begin with a musical history of womens blues, with the second set being mostly originals. Singer, songwriter and composer Sarah Baker comes to you steeped in the musical traditions of Memphis, Muscle Shoals and Nashville. Her music bears the native authenticity of blues, rock, soul and country so identified with this creative region, and she has been mentored by and played with many esteemed musical greats from Huey Lewis, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Taj Mahal, Lou Rawls, Maria Muldaur, Tom Petty to Dr. John and Norton Buffalo and more! Equally in demand as a bandleader, composer, vocalist and keyboardist or master teacher, Sarah Baker continues to record and compose while serving as a performance coach to young Sonoma County artists.
