Seaside Siren Roller Girls Present - Bucket and Slayed!
IT'S November and that can only mean one thing at Seaside Siren Roller Girls headquarters - MEN'S ROLLER DERBY!
We are delighted to announce that our final game of season two, Bucket and Slayed, will see the worldwide favourite Londoners Southern Discomfort take on Sheffield's Inhuman League in a battle to be crowned kings of the track on Saturday November 17th.
And not only that, our very own A-team, the Coastbusters will kick off the day in a south-east derby with London lasses Croydon Riot Squad!
In a match to echo November Pain 2011's merby match, Southern Discomfort are returning to the seaside to defend their title and we couldn't be happier to have them. Presenting a different type of skating, the men, sometimes referred to as 'merby' skaters, skate hard and fast and we can't wait to see tactics they've picked up in the year since last gracing our Garons Leisure and Tennis Centre track.
Meanwhile, Croydon are preparing to cross the Thames north side to take on the Coastbusters, in a game which is guaranteed to be nail-bitingly quick and tactical.
But lets not forget, announcing these two totes amaze games will be Dan Gleibitz, fresh from taking on the world of derby, announcing at the Eastern Regionals (have we mentioned how proud of him we are?!)
So come on down, grab your bucket and slayed and have your very own beano down to Southend to see Essex's first and only bouting roller derby team.
Expect a DJ playing the finest tunes (let us know if you have any requests) stalls selling a range of craft, art and jewellery along with our awesome merchandise stall where you can pick up t-shirts, bags, badges and of course, foam fingers!
