CANTORES IN ECCLESIA PRESENTS THE CHORAL CONCERT AVE MARIA: MUSIC IN HONOR OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9 at 3:00 PM, ST. STEPHEN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1112 SE 41st AVE., PORTLAND, OR.
Cantores in Ecclesia, Blake Applegate, director, presents Ave Maria: Music in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This choral concert for the season of Advent will include repertoire spanning six centuries, from the 15th - 21th. Highlights of the program include Josquin Desprez's Benedicta es, caelorum regina, Charles Villiers Stanford's Magnificat for double chorus, and a setting of the Salve Regina by the 21st Century English composer Gabriel Jackson.
