Directed by Roger Ross Williams USA, 2016, 89 min English Documentary
Based on Ron Suskinds Pulitzer Prize-winning book, this documentary follows Owen Suskind from age three, when he is diagnosed with autism, to age 23, when he learns to live on his own. At three, Owen stops speaking. His joy is watching Disney films and it is through them that he begins to reconnect with the world. Through home movies, film clips, and scenes with Owens family and therapists, we watch as Owen progresses from his silent world to become a spokesperson for autistic individuals. Winner of Directing Award at Sundance Film Festival.
