Marin Baroque Chamber Choir and Orchestra will present a fascinating repertoire of works by Claudio Monteverdi,which will take the audience on a journey through the joys, the disappointments, the self-exploration, and the discoveries of love. The concert will feature the outstanding Marin Baroque soloists and Baroque instrumentalists.
A pre-concert speaker, Petr Janata, Ph.D of the University of Davis Center for Mind, Brain and Music will present "Music, Memories, and Your Brain". Dr. Janata is a 2011 Fulbright and Guggenheim recipient for his research in this area and travels internationally to present his work.
CEU's are available for mental health professionals for attendance at his presentation and the concert.
A reception with Italian treats will immediately follow the concert.
