Haru in the Garden A Festival Welcoming Spring
The premiere Japanese Cultural event of Spring Haru in the Garden is back for another year, presented by the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix. Experience the colors and sounds of the season while strolling through our entrancingly lit pathways. Kika Shibata Master Ikebana (Japanese Flower Art) instructor and artist of over 50 years, joins the garden with a special live performance not to be missed. Open to the public for this special event, our Tea Garden will be transformed into a dreamland of whimsy by Kikas displays. The Tea House outer screens will be removed to allow guests to view inside while enjoying hot tea. There will also be traditional music throughout, a variety of Asian dishes and food trucks and of course a Japanese bar serving wine, beer, plumb wine and premium sake.
