Vancouver Cantata Singers- "Brahms' Requiem"
Join us for a presentation of A German Requiem (Ein deutsches Requiem, nach Worten der heiligen Schrift) by Johannes Brahms.
This beautiful seven-movement work was composed between 1865 and 1868, and communicates profound messages of peace, hope, and consolation. Our performing version is Brahms' own arrangement for chorus and pianos, with soprano & baritone soloists.
The event will be held in the enormous atrium of the new Life Sciences Institute at UBC.
There is an all-evening parking lot across the street, just steps from the front door of the building.
