Life? or Theater?
The Performance Art Institute (PAI) welcomes French artist and director, Astrid Bas, with the debut of her newest project, "Life? or Theater?." Bas and her performers utilize dance and movement to honor the memory of Charlotte Salomon, a young artist and painter who died at the hand of the Nazis in 1943. Salomon's work, also titled "Life? or Theater?" inspired the creation of this contemporary dance performance.
In collaboration with Bay Area experimental filmmaker, Anna Geyer, this featured performance initially begins with the dance talents of Aaron Simunovich, Christina Marie Linksey, Isabella Roncaglio, and Erik Wagner.
The performers will be accompanied by the musical talents of Michael Nick. Three performances: Friday, October 12th Gala Reception Attendees will be treated to cocktails and a buffet dinner at 6:00pm The performance will start at 7:30pm Desserts and coffee will be served afterward
Saturday, October 13th Doors open at 7:00pm The performance will start promptly at 7:30pm
Sunday, October 14th Doors will open at 4:00pm The performance will start promptly at 4:30pm
