2013 Spring - The Son of Man
In our third collaboration, one hundred voices will join in the West Coast premiere of "The Son of Man" by Syrian-American composer Kareem Roustom. We present excerpts from this Middle-Eastern-infused, modern-day oratorio set to the poetry of Kahlil Gibran, consisting of reflections on the ministry of Christ. Rounding out the program are reflections on the power of women with Libby Larsen's "I Just Lightning." PWC will also present a brand new commission from Frank Ferko, "Alma Submerged," in this program with something for everyone!
