Join the tinydance project for our first-ever fundraising event! The evening will begin with appetizers, drinks, and mingling, followed by the premiere of the documentary that 406 Up Films made about our 2015-2016 season, and will include a discussion forum with the tinydance collaborators and 406 Up filmmakers. You'll get a chance to see the inner workings of the project, with photos from its inception to today, and ridiculous outtakes from the film. In the past few years we have run traditional crowdfunding-style fundraisers, and our hope with this event is to raise the remainder of necessary funds for the tour so that we can spend the spring focused on creative process. We are grateful for and excited to announce some of our business sponsors for the fundraiser and the 2017 tiny tour, including Share Coffee, Mountain View Farm, Craig Della Penna of The Murphy's Realtors and Sugar Maple Trailside Inn, Full Circle Bike Shop, Sarah Prall Photography, Riff's Joint, Small Oven Bakery, and ConVino Wine Bar! This year our tour is also supported by the Arts Councils in Amherst, Easthampton, and Northampton, who have awarded us grants to teach community music and movement classes in conjunction with the tiny tour performances in those towns!
Small print: Because alcohol will be available at this event, we will be limiting it to people ages 21 and up. Because we understand that people have varying schedules and income levels, and because we are deeply committed to offering our art to our community free of charge (while also paying the artists), we will be hosting a more casual, pay-what-you-can showing of the documentary later this spring.
