Internationally renowned WORLD music & dance ensemble from Boston. Libana's global repertoire covers a vast musical spectrum expressed with stunning close a cappella vocals and an impressive palette of instruments. Interweaving music, dance and story from such divergent cultures as the Balkans, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, South America and Europe.
Libana is an ensemble that performs worldwide as troubadours of peace-- most recently, in Bulgaria, India, and Morocco -- and that has given expression to womens experience for 35 years. The group has numerous CDs to its credit, including the most recent Instrument of Peace.
Whether moved to tears by their beautiful soaring harmonies, or lifted out of you chair by their pounding rhythms and dance, you will leave Libanas performance feeling uplifted.
Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
