-----------------------------------------------------------

CHRIS TRAPPER began his career as the front man for late-90s alternative rock band THE PUSH STARS (Capitol Records). With four CD releases and several high profile national tours  including a run with Matchbox Twenty  The Push Stars served to establish Chris as an authentic talent. As a singer /songwriter, Chris is most known for his original song THIS TIME, the #1 selling song on the Grammy nominated soundtrack for AUGUST RUSH (Robin Williams, Jonathan Rhys Meyers /Warner Bros Pictures). His music can best be described as lyrically driven roots-pop with a knack for telling everyday stories.

The New York Times has called his work classic pop perfection.

The new CD SYMPHONIES OF DIRT & DUST is a collection of 12 songs written and performed by Chris Trapper and Produced by Jason Meeker at Silver Top Studios, Boston, MA. Guest musicians include Dan McLoughlin of The Push Stars on bass and NYC singer/songwriter Amy Fairchild on harmonies.

Its an incredibly rare musician, particularly in the world of popular music, who is able to forge a career based on quiet dignity and steadfast integrity. The Buffalo News

A prolific songwriter, Chris can boast high profile film placements including Theres Something About Mary (Ben Stiller, Cameron Diaz), The Devil Wears Prada (Meryl Streep), Say It Isnt So (Heather Graham) Gun Shy (Sandra Bullock, Liam Neeson) and most recently, Some Kind of Beautiful *Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek) as well as significant television placements including All My Children, Womens Murder Club, Malcolm In The Middle, a coveted placement in George Clooneys final episode of ER, the theme song for WB Networks dramedy Pepper Dennis and a cameo on-screen appearance with the shows star, Rebecca Romjin.

Chris has written 7 songs with/for Canadian band GREAT BIG SEA, including their #1 single Sea Of No Cares from the certified-platinum Sea Of No Cares CD.  Great Big Sea covered Trappers song Everything Shines and their version served as the debut single off their certified-gold Road Rage CD album. Chris songwriting collaborations with Great Big Sea earned him two prestigious SOCAN awards. Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty and Antigone Rising have performed other notable versions of Trappers songs.

Trappers live show is a favorite among fans of alt-acoustic music. His onstage persona is warm and inclusive, his organic understanding of classic pop melody, infectious. Audience members seem to particularly appreciate the lighthearted moments with the ukulele.

"His humble sense of humility is what makes Trappers songs so strong He makes you feel like you are the person hes singing about". -Popdose

Bea sings and strums her folky pop songs with the same sincerity she uses to write them. Spending her early adult years in Dallas, Texas, Bea acquainted herself with the local music scene and played every stage she could from small pubs to large capacity venues and opened for acts such as Norah Jones, John Mayer and James Taylor. Her ambitions eventually drove her to NYC where she played on subway platforms to make rent.

Bea self released two albums- her full length The Critics Call you a Genius and an EP entitled Somebody, Anybody. Both are composed of raw, modest, sometimes live, and low budget recordings intentionally highlighting what Bea insists is the most important thing about writing good music- honesty. My songs dont hide anything, and I wont sing it unless its true. Honesty makes you feel. If Im singing my song to someone whos going through some real shit, I hope it makes them feel less alone. And if Im singing it about you, I kinda hope it breaks your heart the same way mine had to be to write it. Thats when you know its good.

Bea later began work as a fashion designer and found herself writing and performing far less often. But a five year break from music, a beautiful baby boy and a move to upstate later, Bea found herself being once again drawn to her first loves- her guitar and the stage.

Almost always playing solo, Bea delivers every thoughtful lyric of her hook-strong songs with simplicity while still managing to evoke a range of emotions including, delight, anguish and melancholy.

Beas third and forthcoming album is her first full length studio recorded effort. Outfitted with the formidable talents of Grammy Award winning drummer and noted producer, Brady Blade (Dave Matthews, Emmylou Harris, Jewel) and accomplished award winning engineer, Chris Bell (U2, The Eagles, Erykah Badu), the album is expected for release later this year.
